Ready to move beyond the basics? Join us for a fun, hands-on introduction to bag making with the Sonoma Swing Bag!

This beginner-friendly class is designed to help you build confidence with your sewing machine while creating a stylish, practical bag you'll be proud to carry. We'll work through the project step-by-step while learning essential sewing and bag-making techniques along the way.

We've made getting started easy! A Sonoma Swing Bag fabric kit will be provided for each student, so you can spend your time learning, sewing, and creating rather than worrying about fabric selection and cutting.

You'll learn how to:

• Read and follow a sewing pattern

• Prepare fabric for bag construction

• Sew accurate seams and work with multiple layers

• Create and attach bag straps

• Learn basic bag construction and finishing techniques

• Build confidence using your sewing machine

No previous bag-making experience is required! This class is perfect for the confident beginner who knows the basics of operating their sewing machine and is ready to tackle their first bag.

What to Bring: Your sewing machine in good working order, basic sewing tools, including rotary cutter, snips, marking pen, clips or pins and your preferred thread. Your fabric kit will be provided by North Shore Quilting.
