Discover just how easy garment sewing can be with your serger! In this fun and confidence-building class, you'll create a comfortable, loose-fitting robe using only a basic 4-thread overlock serger. Designed by serger expert Deb Canham, this project is the perfect introduction to garment construction on a serger and can be completed on virtually any brand of machine.

You'll learn how to confidently assemble a garment using your serger while creating a robe that's perfect for lounging at home, taking to quilting retreats, or giving as a handmade gift. Along the way, we'll cover professional construction techniques, tips for achieving beautiful seams, and how quickly a serger can turn fabric into a finished garment.

This class is ideal for beginners who are already comfortable threading and operating their serger. Students should be able to independently thread a basic 4-thread overlock machine before class. No coverstitch or specialty serger features are required.

Skill Level: Beginner

Supplies: Students are responsible for purchasing the appropriate fabric supplies based on their robe size according to pattern.

Prerequisite: Students must know how to thread and operate their serger.

• Four cones of thread
