BERNINA Owner's Class: Bobbin Work with Decorative Threads August 12, 5:30-7:30pm

Take your decorative stitching to a whole new level by exploring the creative possibilities of bobbin work on your BERNINA sewing machine! In this hands-on BERNINA Owner's Class, you'll learn how to use specialty threads in the bobbin to create rich texture, beautiful embellishments, and eye-catching decorative effects that simply can't be achieved with traditional stitching.

We'll experiment with a variety of decorative threads and stitch combinations while learning the proper setup, techniques, and tips for successful bobbin work. By the end of class, you'll have a collection of stitch samples and the confidence to incorporate this technique into quilts, garments, home décor, and mixed media projects.

What You'll Learn:

• How bobbin work differs from traditional decorative stitching

• Setting up your machine for bobbin work

• Working with specialty and decorative threads

• Choosing stitches that create the best results

• Tips for smooth stitching and troubleshooting

Supplies Needed:

• Your BERNINA sewing machine in good working order

• A few empty Bobbin's for your machine

• The BERNINA Red Bobbin Case (for bobbin work), if you own one

• Basic sewing supplies

No problem! We'll have demonstration bobbin cases available for you to try during class so you can experience the technique before deciding if you'd like to add one to your sewing toolbox.

This class is perfect for BERNINA owners who are ready to expand their machine skills and add unique decorative details to their projects.
