BERNINA Owner’s Class: Spanish Hemstitch

Add a beautiful heirloom touch to your sewing with the BERNINA Spanish Hemstitch Attachment! In this hands-on BERNINA Owner’s Class, we’ll explore this unique technique and learn how to create beautiful openwork and decorative effects using your BERNINA.

We’ll experiment with a variety of decorative stitches that are perfect for Spanish Hemstitching, learning how stitch selection, settings, and the attachment work together to create different looks. After some practice, you’ll put your new skills to work creating a set of two decorative napkins—a beautiful and practical project you can enjoy or give as a gift!

Whether you’re new to the Spanish Hemstitch Attachment or looking for new ways to use it, this class is a great opportunity to expand your BERNINA skills and discover another creative technique.

Please bring: Your BERNINA sewing machine, #20 or 20C foot, Spanish Hemstitch Attachment, you will have the opportunity to borrow one of ours to see if this is a tool you would like to add to your sewing room, power cord/foot control, and basic sewing supplies. We’ll provide additional project-specific supply information when you register.

BERNINA Owner’s Club Members: This class is FREE of charge for North Shore Quilting BERNINA Owner’s Club members. Non-members may register for our owner's club for the applicable class fee.

Class projects may not be completed during class depending on individual sewing speed and experience.
