Hands-On Class at North Shore Quilting

Bring your serger and spend the day getting comfortable with your machine while making a beautiful set of fall napkins and placemats!

What You’ll Learn

• How to properly thread your serger

• Understanding stitch settings and tension

• Hands-on practice with:

  • Overlock stitch

  • Rolled hem

  • Flatlock stitch

The first half of the class is focused on learning the mechanics of your machine. In the second half, you’ll put your skills into practice on a set of napkins and placemats.

👉 Please Note: The main focus of this class is learning how to operate your serger and switch between different stitches. While you’ll begin a project, not all students are guaranteed to finish a completed set during class.

This class is for registered students only, no guests!

Requirements

• Students must bring their serger, foot pedal, power cord, machine manual, and all included accessories

• Your serger must have at least a 3-thread overlock capability

• Coverstitch-only machines are not suitable for this class

• Don’t own a serger yet? You’re still welcome to register and try one out!
