About North Shore Quilting

North Shore Quilting is a welcoming, creative destination for quilters, sewists, and fiber-art enthusiasts. We offer a wide selection of fabrics, sewing supplies, machines, classes, and events. We’re looking for a friendly, dependable team member who enjoys helping people and wants to be part of our creative community.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome customers, provide excellent service, and assist with sales.

• Help customers select fabrics, notions, and supplies for their projects.

• Cut fabric accurately and assist with basic project questions.

• Demonstrate sewing machines and help customers explore machine features.

• Process purchases, returns, and transactions using Shopify POS.

• Assist with online orders, pickups, inventory, and stocking merchandise.

• Answer phone calls and emails and help with class registrations.

• Keep the store clean, organized, and inviting.

• Help prepare for classes, workshops, and special events, including setup and breakdown.

• Work collaboratively with the team to create a positive customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Sewing experience is required; quilting or fabric knowledge is a plus.

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

• Friendly, approachable, and comfortable working with people.

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

• Comfortable using email, phones, computers, and point-of-sale systems.

• Reliable transportation to our Huntington location.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Able to stand for extended periods and lift at least 40 pounds.

• Dependable, organized, and willing to pitch in wherever needed.
