Landscape quilting lets you turn fabric into stitched scenery — from rolling hills and clouds to rivers and trees — using a collage-style, layered appliqué process. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll guide you step-by-step through how to design, build, and construct a small landscape quilt using fabric, color, and texture.

You’ll learn how to plan your design, interpret reference images, and select fabrics to create depth and mood. The class will walk through essential machine skills and appliqué techniques so you can focus on composition and creativity rather than mechanics.

This class is perfect for quilters who are comfortable using their sewing machine and want to expand their creative toolkit — whether you’re new to art quilts or simply curious about a new way of working with fabric. You’ll leave with the knowledge to create your own landscape-inspired quilt panels and the confidence to continue exploring this technique at home.
