3D Quilt Blocks: Adding Dimension to Your Quilts

Take your quilting to the next level by adding texture and movement! In this class, you’ll learn how to create three-dimensional quilt blocks that bring visual interest and depth to your projects.

We’ll explore several fun and approachable techniques, including the 3D Pinwheel, Bowtie Block, and 3D Flying Geese. You’ll learn how these dimensional elements are constructed, how to control bulk, and how to incorporate them into quilts, wall hangings, or accent pieces.

All fabric needed for class samples is included. Students should bring their own sewing machine and basic sewing supplies. If you plan to borrow one of our classroom machines, please contact the shop in advance so we can reserve one for you.

This class is perfect for quilters who are comfortable with basic piecing and are ready to try something new and creative.

Basic quilting skills recommended.
