Welcome to the world of fiber art, sewing, and quilting. At North Shore Quilting we love sharing our love of history, technique, and skill-building. Our goal is to help students gain confidence and develop a creative practice that allows them to express their ideas through fiber art.

We offer classes in hand and machine sewing and quilting, knitting, crochet, weaving, mixed media and more. Learn to sew by hand or by machine! We offer group classes as well as private lessons. 

Our classes are more than just sewing and making – it's a journey of self-expression, creativity, and empowerment.

Class Policies

• Your payment guarantees your place in class.

• If you cannot attend a class you have paid for and it is more than 7 days before class, you will receive a refund. Anything less than 7 days is a store credit, no call and no show will not be refunded or credited.
  

• It is strongly suggested that you purchase your class supplies from North Shore quilting to ensure you have the proper items. We appreciate your support!
  

• As a courtesy to all, please no children or guests in class.

To get the most from your experience, the following suggestions are offered:

• Be prepared. Obtain the required supplies. If you are enrolled in a multiple session class, complete the homework so you can keep up with the class.

• Be on time. Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before class to set up. 

• Be familiar with your sewing machine. You need to know how to thread it, how to wind and load a bobbin, and generally how your machine works. It is not the teachers responsibility to instruct you on how your machine works.

• Be sure your machine is in good working order. Remember the foot pedal and power cord! Brush out the dust bunnies from the bobbin case and insert a new needle.

• If you are borrowing a classroom machine, please arrive early to get acquainted.  The start of class is not the time to learn a machine.

• Don’t forget scissors, notepad, pen/pencil, seam ripper, ruler, etc.!

• If the classes run through lunch time you will need to bring a “paper bag” lunch!
