Some sewing machines are more than just machines—they’re little pieces of sewing history! If you love the charm, character, and nostalgia of the vintage Singer Featherweight, we have a new gathering just for you.
Introducing The Featherweight Social, a monthly get-together at North Shore Quilting & Fiber Art for Featherweight owners and enthusiasts to connect, share their passion, and enjoy an afternoon of sewing together. Whether you own one beloved Featherweight or have a collection of these iconic machines, you’re invited to join the fun!
Bring your Featherweight, a project you’re working on, and your favorite machine stories. Share tips and tricks, show off special attachments and accessories, admire each other’s machines, and discover what fellow Featherweight fans are stitching. Most of all, enjoy the camaraderie of spending time with people who understand why these little black beauties (or white, teal or tan) hold such a special place in our sewing rooms.
This isn’t a class, and there’s no assigned project or formal instruction. It’s simply time set aside to sew, socialize, exchange ideas, and celebrate our shared love of Featherweights.
When: One Sunday each month
Fee: $20 per session
What to bring: Your Featherweight, a project to sew, and your usual sewing essentials.
