Join us to create a stylish and practical Busy Day Tablet Case, based on the popular pattern by Melissa Mortensen. This class is perfect for beginning sewists who are comfortable using a sewing machine and are ready to build their skills while making a useful everyday accessory.

During class, students will learn techniques for assembling the tablet case, working with layers, binding and creating a neatly finished project designed to protect your device while showcasing your favorite fabrics.

Students should bring their sewing machine in good working order along with their basic sewing kit. If you do not have a machine, one can be borrowed from our classroom—please call ahead to make arrangements so we can ensure one is available. Students should have prior knowledge of using a sewing machine.

Students will need to purchase the Busy Day Tablet Case pattern and the fabric requirements listed in the pattern based on the size tablet case they would like to make.

Come sew with us and leave with a beautiful handmade case perfect for carrying your tablet in style!

Please note that completion of projects during class is not guaranteed. Sewing speeds and experience levels vary, and our goal is to focus on learning the techniques needed to successfully complete the project. Students may need to finish portions of the project at home after class.
