During class, you’ll learn how to:

• Achieve an accurate ¼" seam using your serger

• Create decorative stitching suitable for quilting applications

• Construct quilt blocks using serger techniques, including no-waste Flying Geese

• Understand how different serger stitches can be applied to quilting projects

This class is designed to build confidence and expand your skills while creating a collection of stitched samples you can reference in future projects.

Skill Level

Open to all combination serger owners. Students should be comfortable with threading their machine and have a basic understanding of serger operation and stitching.

What to Bring

• Your combination serger and all accessories that came with your machine

• Extra needles: ELx705 and topstitching needles

• 5 cones of serger thread (preferably matching)

• Marking pen to label samples

• Fabric for practice (details provided upon registration, if applicable)

• Non-BERNINA owners: please bring your machine manual
